I’m delighted to be helping launch Kamura Obscura‘s new 7″ Single from Transmission Boutique Record Label – produced by Andrea Rocca – ‘Nina Bargain’/’Merry Go Round’ will be released in late February. Kamura Obscura are vocalist-improviser Atsuko Kamura and multi-instrumentalist Natalie Mason.

Atsuko Kamura started her career with Mizutama Shobodan (Polka dot Fire Brigade), produced by Fred Frith , the first feminist punk band in Japan. In London she joined the seminal ensemble Frank Chickens, and went on to become an experimental (and political) song writer and improviser. Kamura Obscura is her latest project.
