A night of live music, dancing, storytelling, short films and animation.
Tickets Here ______Facebook event here

Live music from Rude Mechanicals - purveyors of psychedelic art-rock cabaret, The fabulous flute looped folk of Bird Radio and the enigmatic garbage punks The Star Nosed Moles. Performance and screenings too! With Jo Wonder, Chiara Ambrosio and Joanne Fisher Roberts.

Rude Mechanicals
“Artful jazzbo slinkiness and cabaret poetics with fabulous playing from all concerned and brilliantly off kilter but accessible vocalising from the remarkable front woman Miss Jo Roberts…. with elements from the likes of Rip Rig And Panic, Little Annie and Diamanda Gallas there’s loads here to enjoy. And isn’t that Jowe Head once of Swell Maps beneath that top hat..?”
Tony Gleed - Soho Radio and Bugbear

The get compared to The Birthday Party/Nick Cave, Captain Beefheart, The Tigerlilies and Syd Barrett. Their style has been called Post-Punk, Swamp Blues and Psych Cabaret. “Wild, wicked weirdness... a little bit Flying Lizards, a little bit Native Hipsters and a great deal like nothing you've heard before..." (Tom Robinson BBC6 Music).

Bird Radio
A songwriter, singer and flute player working with loops, and effects to create powerful performances.
'…folk-horror of the darkest hue…his voice soaring like Scott Walker…Bird Radio fulfils his early promise as a musical storyteller of rare power.' Steve Hunt, fRoots

Jo Wonder
I admire comics, fairy tales and religion for their ability to make digestible awkward truths. My work as an animator has evolved into live storytelling in the form of performance with animation, and most of my pictorial work stems from the worlds contained within my stories.

Vaporous Knights

Performing HTML Emptiness as part of Nightscreen
You awaken prone and weak in a hospital bed.
The room is cold white and empty.
You call for assistance, but no one comes and no one replies.
So you scramble around in the drawer beside you looking for some information.
You find your phone, and a sudden wave of relief at the return of your phantom limb.
You go online, but find an emptiness and frustration that plays only this music.
The Web is empty, total information loss.

Anne Pigalle at The Dublin Castle

I will be performing with Anne Pigalle :

Parisienne teenager Anne Pigalle hung out with Glen Matlock and other British punks back in Paris then brought her music to Anglo-Saxon rock & roll and the late punk scene en Londres. Working legendary club nights in the late '80s at Café de Paris and Madame Jojos, she then disappeared to California and created a music-film project in LA with Donald Cammell.

Back in London Pigalle reinvented herself as a painter, photographer, performance and multi-media artist (Amérotica , Ecstase). From cold wave chanson to post punk jazz Anne's music and vocal delivery is always esoteric, astounding and exciting... and that's before we get on to the remarkable erotic poetry.

Featuring

Kamura Obscura - London Single Launch @ 100 Years Gallery

I’m delighted to be helping launch Kamura Obscura‘s new 7″ Single from Transmission Boutique Record Label – produced by Andrea Rocca – ‘Nina Bargain’/’Merry Go Round’ will be released in late February. Kamura has dedicated (or wasted) her life to bizarre, experimental music. Was it worth it? Come to the Hundred Years Gallery launch party and find out!

Kamura Obscura are vocalist-improviser Atsuko Kamura and multi-instrumentalist Natalie Mason.
Special guest: Cos Chapman.

Atsuko Kamura started her career with Mizutama Shobodan (Polka dot Fire Brigade), produced by Fred Frith , the first feminist punk band in Japan. In London she joined the seminal ensemble Frank Chickens, and went on to become an experimental (and political) song writer and improviser. Kamura Obscura is her latest project.

“The music simply does its ultimate best to swipe us all in like a wonderful movie, one that is playing out in different times, probably created with a large budget, shot in black and white, but fully armed with colourful passion and emotive action.”-Review of Socrates’ Garden by K.N , Yeah I know it sucks
